Collegiate and Pro Career

-5-star prospect from the historic Lake Travis high school in Austin, Texas.

-Wilson had to choose between offers to Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Michigan.

-He chose to attend Ohio State where as a freshman he immediately produced. As a true freshman at Ohio State in 2019, Wilson played in all 14 games and had 30 receptions for 432 yards and five touchdowns.

-Sophomore year: 43 receptions for 723 yards while grabbing 6 touchdowns. That season, Garret received the honor of First team All-Big Ten.

Junior Year: Garrett caught 70 passes for 1,058 yards while also scoring 12 touchdowns! Garret Wilson was awarded First-team All-American by the Football Writers Association and Second-team All-Big Ten Conference. 

-Wilson's talent was clear at the NFL Combine where he recorded a 4.38 second 40 yard dash. This led him to be selected 10th overall to the New York Jets in 2022.

-He has made a impact in the Jets Offense this year so far and over 5 games, has recorded 23 receptions for 282 yards and has scored 2 touchdowns. Garret Wilson is the second best receiver for the Jets so far this year in terms of total yards.

High School Career

-Garret Wilson had a stellar high school career from 2014-2018 at Lake Travis Highschool located in Austin, Texas.

-Sophomore Year: 699 yards on 53 catches and 12 touchdowns

-Junior Year: Recorded 98 catches, 1,773 yards and 26 touchdowns while also completing the ultimate goal of winning a 6A state championship. Wilson was also named All-USA First Team.

-Senior season: Garrett Wilson suffered injury which caused him to miss 5 games in the middle of the season, but still managed to catch 70 passes for 1151 yards while scoring 19 touchdowns in his final highschool season. Even while missing 5 games in his senior season, Garret Wilson was still named to the All-USA First Team for the 2nd straight year. 

-On April 29, 2018 Garrett Wilson committed to Ohio State University via twitter. This shocked coaches and fans because it was a common belief that he would stay in Texas and attend the states university. However, Garret Wilson decided to go back to his home state and "deal with some unfinished business."
